THE GAME
ROSENGARDE is a cooperative role-playing adventure game for 1-4 players set in the fantasy world of Spheria. The game is based on the legends of the Rosengarde and their fight against the monstrous plight threatening the world. Players can combine the contents of the game with other future PROJECT ROSE System board games to expand the adventure and increase the challenge.
For centuries, the land of Loriaé has been plagued by the misshapen, malignant creatures known as the Antholons. The Rosengarde, a group of stalwart warriors, are the only ones who can stop the monsters from destroying everything. They are bestowed with mysterious powers and armed with steeled purpose. They are the only ones who can stand between the monsters emerging from the depths of the mountains and the surface world.
In this game, players assume the role of a character and embark on dangerous quests into the monster-ridden subterranean. As they journey through a quest, fight through monsters, overcome challenges, and acquire more treasure and power, they must build up their momentum, and maintain a delicate balance between risks and rewards, in order to achieve ultimate victory.

CHARACTER
In Rosengarde, you become a player who takes on the role of a narrative character, with plenty of options to choose from or create your own original character. With 10 character classes, each belonging to one of the 4 party roles – Besieger, Skirmisher, Raider, and Arcanist – you can customize your class to suit your playstyle with weapons, spells, techniques, accessories, and item cards.
Characters in Rosengarde are more than just combat statistics; each narrative character has a unique past intertwined with campaign events, represented by their Legend Cards. Immerse yourself in their stories and be rewarded with their trust by learning about their history.
Bring your original character to life by designing their background with the setting-based creation matrix, where you can define their race, culture, inward and outward substance, as well as their past and fate. Let your creativity soar as you create Legend Cards based on your character’s background, and gain in-game benefits by sharing them with your trusted fellow players.
QUEST AND ADVENTURE
Embark on a journey through adventure, either solo or with a party of up to four, and experience the legends of the Rosengarde through a series of campaign quests filled with rich stories.
As you conquer quests and challenges to gain power, your unique story will unfold through your character’s actions, engagements, interactions, and resolutions. No two playthroughs are alike, so review each quest objective and plan your route and strategy wisely.
Explore and navigate the vast world beneath and beyond, charting your own course. Anticipate and overcome procedural events, challenges, and encounters, playing intelligently to balance risks and opportunities along the way to achieve victory.
TACTICAL COMBAT
Your combat skills will determine the fate of your character. The Battle Scene features tactical combat that requires careful planning and a sequence of impressive attacks, abilities, and counteractions. Plan ahead to set up an impressive chain of abilities and work with your allies to outsmart the enemy.
Face epic battles against the Antholons and other enemies of the Rosengarde. Encounter monstrous creatures from the unknown depths of the mountains, as well as those who treacherously work against the Rosengarde’s cause.
The intelligent, self-contained battle scripts control your opponents, presenting a worthy challenge. To achieve victory, you must learn their behavior and exploit their weaknesses.
Remember, you’re not in this fight alone! Build relationships with non-player allies and receive their assistance in battle. Work in synergy with their battle script and fighting style to secure your victory.
