DEVELOPER LOG 1 – CHARACTER CLASSES
Hello everyone eagerly anticipating the release of ROSENGARDE! I’m Alex Bähre, the producer and director of ROSENGARDE.
Starting today, the official website will host the Developer’s Diary. The development team will keep you updated on our progress and share exciting news with you through this platform.
We aim to keep our diary entries short and sweet, letting the artwork and screenshots speak for themselves. So, be sure to check back regularly – we promise to deliver!
In ROSENGARDE, each player becomes a character with their own unique class, just like in any other RPG. Classes distinguish characters from one another with varying weapons and special skills.
ROSENGARDE offers 10 classes, including 3 for the Besieger archetype (tank-style classes), 3 for the Skirmisher (long-range attack and support classes), another 3 for the Raider (close combat attacker classes), and the versatile Arcanist class, which branches into 6 specializations – Elemental, Primal, Mystical, Spiritual, Theurgic, and Occultic.

BESIEGERS
BESIEGERS – A party with a “tank” is the epitome of toughness! They not only absorb damage, but also take charge in combat challenges by positioning themselves at the frontlines and commanding the battlefield.
PALLADIAN – The Palladian class is a great choice for beginner players who want to play a Besieger in ROSENGARDE. These are the classic knights in shining armor, equipped with one-handed weapons and shields. They excel in defense enhancement, attack debuffs, and counter-attacks, and as they level up, they also gain skills to directly protect their allies in battle.
JUGGERNAUT – The Juggernaut class is perfect for players who love to unleash their fury on enemies while having access to plenty of health restoration. With clever positioning, the Juggernaut is an effective tank while allowing for a more dynamic experience compared to the Palladian.
GRENADIER – The Grenadier is a unique tank class that boasts versatility as its greatest strength. With carefully timed skill triggers, they are resilient against powerful enemies and can swiftly eliminate lesser foes with their explosive ranged attacks. If you’re looking for a tactical approach to tanking and providing support to your party, the Grenadier is the perfect choice!
SKIRMISHER – Skirmishers boast a range of abilities that empower them to aid their allies or hinder their enemies. With unparalleled mobility, they can attack from a distance while effortlessly moving around the battlefield.
VANGUARD – As a Skirmisher, the Vanguard leverages their automatonic companion to both support allies and wreak havoc on enemies. Mastery of the Vanguard requires smart positioning of the automatonic and precise targeting for maximum damage.
HARBINGER – Harbingers offer versatility to the party with a range of supportive tools, including damage support, recovery, shielding, and even traps to counter advancing enemies. Their ability to adapt to any situation makes them a valuable asset in tough circumstances.
SHARPSHOOTER – Skirmishers with exceptional skill in precision weapons and close combat training, the Sharpshooters can quickly identify enemies’ weaknesses and strike with precision, all while staying resilient and quick to respond to advancing enemy attacks.
RAIDERS – Raiders boast impressive durability and destructive power, making their role clear-cut – to deal massive damage and decimate their foes.
DRAGOON – The Dragoons execute fast and mighty strikes that can pierce through the enemy’s defense, with their survival being ensured by neutralizing the imminent danger.
VANQUISHER – Vanquishers are masters of their weapons and training, equipped with a range of skills and strategies that allow them to take on any challenge their enemies may pose.
DARKSTALKER – As a Darkstalker, it’s all about maintaining the “Shrouded” status through strategic movement to maximize the power of your attacks and support skills.
ARCANISTS – The Arcanist class in ROSENGARDE may seem complex, but it is also incredibly powerful if played right. This class boasts a vast array of spells with awe-inspiring effects, and casting spells within their chosen discipline can even enhance their effects. The real fun of playing an Arcanist lies in discovering the right spell combinations and teamwork tactics that work best for your personal playstyle.
ELEMENTALIST – The Elementalists possess the highest damage potential of all the classes. While it’s straightforward to learn how to cast damage spells on enemies, mastering the art of chaining and combining spells to produce deadly effects requires skill and effort.
PRIMALIST – As a Primalist, you have the ability to provide instant healing and combat support with your frost spells that inflict detrimental effects on enemies. You can effectively balance doing damage and healing, making you a valuable asset to the team when played correctly.
MYSTICIST – The Mysticist boasts a diverse range of spells that can deal damage, provide combat support, and offer protection. With their speed and adaptability, they can effortlessly take on any support role within a party.
SPIRITUALIST – The Spiritualist boasts immense power with their spiritual spells, possessing the greatest area of influence of all other spell types. They effortlessly shape the battlefield, granting advantageous spells to their allies and imposing negative effects on their enemies.
THEURGIST – The Theurgist boasts a strong collection of powerful, direct, and dependable spells. With exceptional restorative abilities and direct support spells, the Theurgist class is easily mastered and can also offer damage output when needed.
OCCULTIST – The Occultist is known for its cunning abilities to harm enemies and turn those detrimental effects into powerful outcomes, like amplifying damage, disrupting enemy attacks, or even healing allies! With their devious nature, Occultists are a formidable force in the battlefield.
And those are the 10 classes in ROSENGARDE! Although it may seem overwhelming at first, many of the skills and abilities are easily mastered with just a few plays. Keep in mind that the game is still being developed, so these details may change in the future.
